We are seeking a friendly Van Driver (Seasonal) April-October to join our team at Sebasco Harbor Resort. This is a Full Time position located in Phippsburg, ME. In this position you will be responsible for shuttling hotel guests back and forth during their stay, contributing to the guest experience by making it simple and enjoyable for guests to arrive, and check in and stay at the property.

We are seeking a friendly Van Driver (Seasonal) April-October to join our team at Sebasco Harbor Resort. This is a Full Time position located in Phippsburg, ME. In this position you will be responsible for shuttling hotel guests back and forth during their stay, contributing to the guest experience by making it simple and enjoyable for guests to arrive, and check in and stay at the property.
Work Performed
As a Van Driver, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable stay. If you enjoy working with people, this is the perfect role for you.

Drive incoming/departing hotel guests between hotel and approved destinations and assists guests with luggage

Inspect van to ensure that it is in order and that supplies are adequate

Complete and submits daily vehicle inspection and guest count checklists, reporting any damage, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor

Maintain courtesy vehicle, consisting of washing, cleaning, and fueling

Offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions

Page guests in lobby, deliver messages and run errands, return errant carts in parking lot and from guest rooms

Maintain lobby in a clean and tidy manner; this includes, but is not limited to trash, seating areas, front doors, floors, etc.

Maintains the parking spots by picking up trash, cleaning oil leaks, shoveling snow, melting ice, hosing off sidewalks etc.

Adhere to all local and state laws and hotel guidelines pertaining to driver certification and safe transport of guests

Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest requests

Attends and participates in all required staff and/or training meetings

Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience

Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record with 2 years of driving experience

Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location

Hours required: Full Time 20-40 hours per week for shifts; Must be flexible

Proficiency in the English language

Ability to sit for extended periods of time
-
Ability to stand and walk as needed
-
Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. guest luggage; limited
-
Ability to work independently
-
Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities
-
Previous customer facing/hospitality experience preferred

Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French
Compensation
$18 Hourly
