Pre-K Teacher – Falmouth Elementary School (Two Positions - Anticipated Fall 2026 Openings)
Falmouth Elementary School is seeking two experienced and passionate Pre-K teachers to join our established, full-day Pre-K program. Our program is supported by a collaborative, student-centered team committed to high-quality early childhood learning. We are looking for educators who are excited to contribute to a dynamic and evolving program, and who value strong relationships, responsive play-based learning, and teamwork. Candidates must be registered with Maine Roads to Quality.
Our Successful Candidates Will
- Understand the developmental needs of young learners and support the whole child (social-emotional and academic) through authentic relationships with students and families
- Demonstrate a passion for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences
- Have experience with, or a strong understanding of, the PreK for ME curriculum
- Apply best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Value collaboration and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders
- Bring knowledge of instructional strategies appropriate for preschool-aged children
- Use a range of differentiation strategies to meet diverse learner needs
- Engage in ongoing professional learning related to curriculum, instruction, and student wellness
Qualifications
- Certification: (081 or 029) Early Childhood Endorsement.
- Candidates must be registered with Maine Roads to Quality.
- Experience teaching at the Pre-K level is preferred.
- Approved background check (run by the District.)
