We are seeking a meticulous and efficiency-driven Bar Prep Specialist for our high-end craft cocktail bar. In this role, you work behind the scenes before opening hours to prepare the foundational components of our beverage program. You will be responsible for executing complex, precise recipes for house-made syrups, infusions, and batches, ensuring our bartending team is fully equipped for flawless night service.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Prep & Craft Production
Batching: Measure, combine, and batch high-volume signature cocktails to exact specifications.
Syrups & Cordials: Cook, strain, and bottle house-made syrups, oleo-saccharums, shrubs, and cordials.
Infusions & Tinctures: Manage the timeline, production, and filtering of custom spirit infusions and bitters.
Stock Control: Receive liquor and product deliveries, rotating stock using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
Restocking: Fully stock speed rails, back-bar displays, and under-bar fridges with spirits, wines, and mixers.
Labeling: Date, label, and organize all prepped ingredients according to health department standards.
Deep Cleaning: Sanitize juicers, blenders, draft lines, and prep surfaces to maintain an immaculate workspace.
Tool Care: Wash, polish, and organize specialized bar tools and glassware before the night shift arrives.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a craft cocktail bar, kitchen prep role, or pastry department.
Strong understanding of culinary techniques, precise measurements, and flavor profiles.
Extreme attention to detail; ability to follow multi-step chemical and culinary recipes exactly.
Knowledge of local food safety and sanitation laws (Serv Safe Food Handler certification preferred).
Physical requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (kegs, cases of liquor).
