Job Overview
Smith Builders is seeking an Experienced Roof Repair Technician with a "detective" mindset. Unlike new installations, this role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing leaks and structural issues. You will be the face of our repair division, providing high-quality solutions for both residential and commercial clients.
Duties
- Leak Diagnosis: Identify the source of leaks in asphalt shingle, standing seam metal, along with other roofing systems.
- Precision Repairs: Perform expert-level flashing repairs, chimney re-leading, and shingle replacement.
- Storm Damage Response: Provide emergency tarping and temporary dry-in services following Maine’s heavy snow, rain and wind events.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years in roofing, with 2+ years specifically in repairs and maintenance.
- Technical Knowledge: Proven experience of flashing techniques (step, counter, and apron) and sealant applications.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to our Glenburn shop.
- Safety: Ability to safely set up high-reach ladders (up to 40ft) and work on steep-slope roofs.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
