Picnic by Belleflower brings the feeling of a relaxed picnic to the East Bayside lunch scene. Our food truck serves fresh sandwiches, wholesome bowls, and vibrant salads made with seasonal ingredients and bold, balanced flavors inspired by gathering with friends. Perfect for both busy days and relaxed evenings, Picnic offers quick, nourishing meals that are meant to be enjoyed and shared.
We are looking for an experienced Chef / Food Truck Operator to help lead the daily operation of our truck. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in cooking fresh food, and is excited to run a small kitchen. The truck will operate on site 4-5 days a week, with potential for off-site service occasionally. Our intention is for you to be able to prep, serve, and do admin work within a 40 hour work week with evenings ending no later than 9pm. Hours and location subject to change.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items including sandwiches, bowls, salads, and specials.
- Manage daily food truck operations during service hours.
- Complete food prep including proteins, vegetables, sauces, and ingredient portioning.
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and supply management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment.
- Set up and break down the truck for service.
- Work collaboratively with brewery production and taproom staff and provide a positive guest experience.
Qualifications
- 3+ years kitchen experience (line cook, chef, or food truck experience preferred).
- Ability to manage a small kitchen independently during service.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- ServeSafe Manager or equivalent food safety and sanitation certification or ability to pass certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
