The Events & Development Assistant will report to the Director of Development and will be a keymemberofthe administrativeand fundraisingteam.Theidealcandidate willhaveexcellent communicationandcustomerserviceskills,strongattentionto detail,andtheabilitytomanage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Thisisa24-houraweek,non-benefittedpositionwithanhourlyrateof$25perhour.
Typicalhourswillbeduringtheregularworkweekwithoccasionalweekendandeveninghours necessary depending on event schedules.
TypicalDutiesandKeyResponsibilitiesoftheEvents&DevelopmentAssistantare: 1.EventPlanning&Execution:
Support the planning, administration, and execution of fundraising and community events
Research and secure venues, catering, rentals, and other vendors; serve as primary point of contact for logistics coordination
Manage invitation processes, including guest lists, RSVP tracking, and follow-up communications
Coordinate event materials and on-site needs (run of show, signage, nametags, etc.)
Support procurement, organization, and tracking of auction and raffle items, including donor communication and acknowledgment (1 auction and/or raffle annually)
Assist with auctions and raffles, including procurement and organization of items from community
Provide on-site support at events, helping manage set-up, guest experience, and breakdown
Support Tedford Housing’s presence at additional third-party fundraising events and local parades (approximately 5-6 annually)

Research,identify,andbuildapipelineofprospectivebusinesspartners(localand statewide)
Conductoutreachviaphone,email,andin-personmeetingstointroduceTedford’s mission and sponsorship opportunities
Scheduleandparticipatein1:1meetingswithbusinessowners,managers,and corporate representatives
Assistindevelopingandpresentingsponsorshipopportunitiesforeventsandtheannual fund
Trackandfulfillsponsorshipdeliverables,ensuringpartnersreceiveagreed-upon benefits(e.g.,logoplacement,event recognition,socialmediamentions,tickets)
Stewardexistingbusinessrelationshipstoencouragerepeatandincreasedgiving
Trackoutreachactivity,meetings,andoutcomestosupportrelationshipmanagement and revenue goals in CRM
3.DonorAdministration&DatabaseManagement:Assist the Director of Development & Director of Administration to maintain accurate, up-to-datedonorandgiftrecordsinLittleGreenLight(CRM),ensuringdataconsistency for mailings and communications
Supporttheexecutionofbulkmailingsanddonorcommunications
Assistinprintingandmailingtimely,personalizeddonoracknowledgmentletters
QualificationsandSkills:2-3yearsofexperienceinanofficeenvironment,particularlyinaneventsor development role.
Bachelorsdegreepreferred
Excellentcustomerserviceskillswithafocusonbuildingpositiverelationshipswith clients and visitors
Computerliteracyisrequired,withknowledgeandunderstandingofMicrosoft365 products
Stronglistening,oral,phoneandwrittencommunicationskills
