United Way of Western Maine, formerly United Way of Androscoggin County, is seeking a mission-driven Development & Engagement Coordinator to support and grow our corporate partnerships, employee giving campaigns, and community events across a three-county area (Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties). This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong relationships and brings a strategic yet creative mindset to fundraising. This person will cultivate relationships with business leaders and serve as a visible representative in the community. Event planning, data-driven goal setting, and a passion for community work are all essential to success in this role.
What You’ll Do
·Serve as a relationship manager for corporate partners and community stakeholders.
·Cultivate new partnerships and workplace campaigns to expand revenue generation.
·Organize and implement workplace giving campaigns, including coordinating presentations, building toolkits and providing support to loaned executives.
·Represent UWWM at community events, network gatherings, and chamber functions to strengthen visibility and connections.
·Recruit and support volunteers.
·Work closely with the President & CEO to identify new business opportunities for partnership development.
·Plan and expand existing events, including but not limited to: Campaign Kickoff, Day of Caring, Touch a Truck and the Backpack Program.
·Support an organizational culture of integrity, transparency, service and professionalism. Model behavior consistent with the mission of United Way.
·Maintain strict privacy and confidentiality of sensitive information.
·Fulfill other duties and special projects as assigned by the President & CEO.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in non-profit management, resource development, volunteer engagement, or related field.
Require a minimum of one year experience in communications, fundraising or event coordination.
Preferred Skills:
·Strong writing and proofreading skills
·Proficient in Office 365
·Detailed-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
·A team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and with diverse stakeholders
·Ability to understand and commit to the mission of United Way
