Instructional Technology Support Specialist
RSU1 seeks a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Instructional Technology Support Specialist. The Support Specialist plays an important role in supporting students and staff by assisting them in all aspects of their technology use to enhance and deepen learning. This is a 220 day contract position, July-June.
Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Provide training to students and staff in the use of new technology resources
- Provide support by answering questions about the use of devices and digital resources
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles to be used with students and staff for purposes of instruction and support
- Assist in the training, troubleshooting and support of hardware, software and online resources
- Assist the Instructional Technology Team in the maintenance and deployment of student and staff technology resources
- Other tasks and assignments as determined by the Technology Director
Qualifications And Skills
- Ability to work with students and staff in classroom, small group, and individual settings
- Ability to provide instruction to students and staff of varying abilities and experiences in the use of technology systems and resources
- Experience supporting modern computer hardware and operating systems
- Advanced skill with the Google Suite of Applications
- Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner, with strong written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
Certification
- Current Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
