Limo Services in Maine is hiring a part-time driver, primarily for Saturdays, to drive our sedans and passenger vans. Vans are based in Lisbon and sedans near Windham, so living anywhere along the Lisbon–Windham corridor works well.
This is steady work from spring through fall — we can keep a reliable driver busy nearly every Saturday in season, with additional days available when you want them. Things slow down over the winter, so this suits someone looking for dependable part-time work during the busy months rather than full-time year-round. Van work typically runs from early afternoon into the late evening; sedan work varies and can fall at any hour.
You'll transport a discerning clientele to a wide variety of destinations. This job is a great fit for someone patient, punctual, and comfortable making polite conversation — retirees, semi-retired folks, and school bus drivers looking for weekend hours tend to do very well in this role. No experience necessary; we will train the right person.
Requirements: a clean driving record, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently. You'll need a cell phone, email, and a printer to print trip sheets. No special license needed. Familiarity with the Portland and Boston Logan areas, and use of a standalone GPS, is a plus.
Compensation: $23–$40/hr depending on vehicle and experience, plus gratuity. Your first two Saturdays are a paid working trial for both of us.
To apply, reply by email and answer these three questions and leave a contact telephone number so we can contact you:
What town do you live in?
What's your most recent work (paid or volunteer)?
Are you generally free on Saturdays from spring through fall?
We reply to every application that answers all three. Initial applications by phone are not accepted.
Principals only. Recruiters, please do not contact this job poster.
