We at Portland Pie are looking to grow our core team of cooks! We are a fast-paced, yet casual, family restaurant that serves gourmet pizza and local craft beer, as well as other extended menu items. We offer dine in, and delivery/take-out for the community and the surrounding areas.
Our ideal candidate likes to collaborate with their fellow team members, has a strong sense of urgency, and enjoys the challenge that comes with cooking in a high volume environment. A positive attitude is definitely a plus!
We strive to keep the atmosphere fun and relaxed; a sense of comradery pervades the space. We're accepting of cooks of all skill levels and we're always willing to train the right candidate!
Cook responsibilities
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manger and cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours.
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts.
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift.
