JOB TITLE: Lead Host- Full Time
•PAY RANGE: $15.10 – $22.00 per hour
•COMPENSATION TYPE: Hourly Position, Plus Tips.
•ADDITIONAL: Standard overtime rules apply for hours worked beyond 40 hours in a single designated workweek.
•SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday Days (weekends as needed)
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Full Time - Lead Host is the first point of contact for all guests and plays a critical role in managing the overall flow of the restaurant. In addition to general hosting duties, this full-time role involves leading the host team, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for every guest from the moment they arrive until they leave. The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service skills, is highly organized, and can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Manages the flow of customers. Greets all customers at the door and welcomes them. Refers to reservations or finds a table for appropriate size party. Assist servers with busing, cleaning and resetting tables. Responsible for cleaning restaurant lobby and monitoring bathrooms. Thanks, all guests for dining.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Opening Monday – Friday AM/Day Shifts
• Housekeeping
• Greets all guest and provides initial welcome to the restaurant.
• Seats parties at assigned tables or divides guests evenly among server sections.
• Assist with busing, cleaning, resetting tables.
• Helps stock glasses and silverware.
• Completes assigned side work.
• Completes additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Train New Host
QUALIFICATIONS: Great customer service skills, time management skills, excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a desire to take on new responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
• Standing/Walking: Ability to remain on your feet and move throughout the restaurant for the duration of a shift, often 4 to 8 hours.
• Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly, specifically when assisting with stocking glasses, silverware, and moving bus tubs.
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate reservation systems, handle menus, and efficiently reset tables with proper utensil and glassware placement.
• Stamina: Ability to maintain a high level of energy, a polite demeanor, and a professional "lead by example" attitude during peak hours and high-volume shifts.
• Range of Motion: Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping required to clean the restaurant lobby, monitor bathrooms, and reset tables.
• Auditory and Visual Acuity: Ability to communicate clearly with guests in a busy entryway and visually manage seating charts and server sections to maintain a proper flow.
