Primary Objective of Position
Maintain clean, safe, attractive, and fully functioning guest and team-member spaces by completing public-area cleaning, routine facilities inspections, preventive upkeep, and light repairs. The Facilities Attendant responds promptly to service needs, identifies and reports concerns, and supports a welcoming hotel environment.
Essential Functions
· Walk assigned guest, public, back-of-house, and exterior areas at the start of each shift; identify cleaning, restocking, maintenance, and safety needs and prioritize the day's work.
· Follow established public-area and facilities checklists for the lobby and Canopy Central, Guest Retreat, fitness center, transfer lounge, meeting rooms and restrooms, Salt Yard, Luna, employee locker room and retreat, corridors, entrances, grounds, and other assigned spaces.
· Clean and maintain public and back-of-house areas, including removing debris; emptying trash and recycling; vacuuming; dusting; sanitizing; cleaning glass and windows; organizing and stocking closets; and replenishing paper products, soap, liners, and other supplies.
· Perform routine preventive maintenance and light repairs in guest rooms and shared spaces, including touch-up painting, hanging or replacing fixtures, changing light bulbs, tightening hardware, and addressing minor plumbing, television, phone, clock, bathroom-fixture, furniture, and finish concerns within training and authorization.
· Complete basic visual and operational checks of lighting, plumbing, HVAC, doors, locks, furnishings, equipment, and other property systems; promptly document and escalate work requiring advanced technical knowledge, a license, or outside support.
· Maintain the appearance and safety of building entrances, exterior areas, and grounds, including seasonal support and snow removal as assigned.
· Use hand tools, power tools, cleaning equipment, chemicals, ladders, and personal protective equipment safely and only as trained and intended.
· Record, update, and close assigned tasks using departmental systems and resources such as HotSOS, Keywatcher, and digital-key tools; communicate unfinished work, recurring concerns, and urgent issues to the appropriate leader.
· Respond professionally to guest and team-member requests, take opportunities to create a positive experience, and coordinate work with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food and Beverage, Security, and other departments.
· Support outside contractors as directed and maintain orderly work areas, tools, equipment, parts, and supply inventories.
Supportive Functions
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of the hotel:
· Assist Facilities, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments based on hotel needs.
· Complete property security walks and report unusual conditions or activity.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Must be able to communicate in and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace with or without communication technology

· Must have a good knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, knowledge of HVAC strongly preferred.
Physical Demands
· Most work tasks are performed indoors
· Outdoor work subject to seasonal weather extremes
· Must be able to lift 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
· Must be able to lift 100 lbs. occasionally.
· Position requires walking and standing most of the working day. The length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
· The worker is subject to vibration: exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities on whole body.
· The worker is subject to hazards: including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
· Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
· Requires general manual dexterity and finger dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical school degree helpful.
- One plus years in maintenance and professional painting experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any governmental required licenses, certificates or permits & CPR certification.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
