We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and understanding
- Perform imaging procedures, adjusting equipment and exposure settings for optimal image quality
- Review images for accuracy and diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist
- Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, including working closely with radiologists
- Maintain patient records, including relevant medical history and documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols
- Experience with Sectra, Epic, PenRad applications highly preferred
- Educate patients on breast health, including self-exam techniques
- Coordinate with outside facilities to obtain prior imaging when needed
- Support coding, billing, and general administrative tasks related to procedures
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas
- Perform routine quality control testing to ensure equipment is functioning safely and effectively
Qualifications:
- Minimum associates degree in Applied Science required
- Completion of 3D/tomographic training required
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current state license as a mammography technologist/radiography technologist
- Up to date continuing education experience as required
- Experience with EMR and imaging systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
