Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately while respecting patient privacy and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote health and well-being
- Provide support while engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe and timely travel while respecting residents’ rights and preferences
Requirements
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or seniors in settings such as group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care including Alzheimer’s and memory care practices, hospice care principles, and resident’s rights regulations
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other methods, manual handling skills, and patient transfer techniques
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, healthcare teams, and other caregivers
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed in a fast-paced caregiving environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for assisting clients with personal transportation needs

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
