As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas according to established recipes and standards, ensuring every dish meets our commitment to excellence and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following precise recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food prep stations efficiently and safely
- Cook pizzas using various methods including grilling, baking, and braising techniques to achieve optimal flavor and presentation
- Ensure food safety sanitizing procedures are strictly followed to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or toppings based on customer preferences and current trends
- Maintain high-volume production levels while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking or ordering supplies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with fine dining or high-volume production experience
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with culinary techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and meal preparation
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in product quality
- Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to kitchen operations and food service responsibilities
