The Velvet Dog is looking for experienced bartenders for lunch and weekend shifts.
About us:
We are an independently/family owned restaurant and full service bar. Our menu consists of scratch cooking and craft cocktails with the promise of not having to send people into bankruptcy over going out for dinner or drinks. Our team is kind, supportive and considerate of each other.
Our goal is to make everyone of all walks of life feel seen, heard and wish to welcome all the wild and weird that Portland has to offer!
About you:
- Experienced in Bartending and Serving. We believe in not overstaffing so our people can maximize their income.
- Able to give our guests the experience they are looking for. Some of our guests want table service, others just looking to blow off steam. It's important to read the guest and give them what they want; not what you feel like offering them.
- A strong desire to make our guests feel welcome and help create/retain return business
Hours:
Soon we will be opening for lunch(exact hours TBD) and need those shifts filled as well as Fri/Sat nights. Currently we are open until 11PM Friday and 10PM Saturday but with the right pieces in place we can extend to 1AM.
