The Facilities & Safety Coordinator at Rockport Marine Inc. is responsible for the maintenance of all buildings, grounds, and vehicles and oversees the site Safety Program. They manage safety-related training, records, and policies. They identify and estimate maintenance work, then either perform the work or organize an appropriate subcontractor. They help plan and estimate new construction/renovation projects. Additional roles are possible based on experience and skill set.
General Duties:
· Facilities
o Maintain buildings and grounds.
o Coordinate appropriate vendors (i.e. HVAC, landscaping, construction, vehicle service)
o Troubleshooting, light repairs, maintenance planning
o Preventive maintenance tasks
· Safety
o Policy/Procedure management and education
o Perform required inspections (i.e. Fuel Storage, Stormwater, Ladders)
o Execute risk assessments and incident investigations
Skills & Certifications:
· Written and verbal communication: speak honestly and directly with coworkers and vendors
· Organization: manage multiple projects at the same time
· Residential Carpentry and Plumbing: make small repairs, diagnosis larger problems
· Mechanical knowledge: basic understanding of engines, pumps, and motors
· Certifications: OSHA 10hr Maritime Safety Certification, or ability to obtain
