Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity and providing quality education to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the classroom environment to ensure a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Meet individual as well as group needs of children.
-Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and behavior
- Participate in all relevant trainings and staff meetings as appropriate or requested
- Share in the responsibility for basic work chores.
-Other responsibilities as requested by the lead teacher or the Center Director.
Experience
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families and co-workers.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development a plus.
- Knowledge of Early childhood education and special education practices is a plus
- Comfortable working in classroom settings with children from ages 6 weeks through 5 years of age.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Must meet all other staff requirement as outlines in Rules for Licensing of Childcare -centers for children including FBI background check, DHHS child protective search, physical examination and immunization records as required.
