- Responsible for understanding of company obligation to Import and Export law with DOT, EAR, OFAC, IATA regulations.
- Responsible for understanding of US Import and Export Law and Regulation.
- Schedules appropriate modes of transportation with management based on daily needs. Maintain a cost-effective balance between customer service and cost of shipment.
- Assist in the responses to US Customs, FAA inquiries and notices and aid in preparation for US Government Regulatory audits.
- Revise all applicable trade agreements, & Certificates of Origin, with the necessary back-up documentation.
- Works closely with client’s representatives to ensure service satisfaction. Analyzes service failures/issues and implements performance improvement processes to enhance future service delivery.
- Provide Import and Export support for all departments and external shipping vendors. Coordinating and provide oversight, guidance and day-to-day support for USA Import, Export and Foreign Trade Zone activities to assure compliance with pertinent laws, regulations and guidelines mandated by government agencies and company policies and procedures.
- Determine and maintain proper HTS codes, Schedule B codes, valuation, and country of origin, entry, and export procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years inventory/warehouse experience preferred
- Good reading, writing and math skills
- Able to follow all safety and operating procedures
- Experience in an ERP system, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Able to perform assigned duties in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Operate a fork lift: Ensure the safety and security of employees and visitors
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Attentive to details
- High school diploma or GED
