JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Nursing Assistant/Med Tech at d'Youville Pavilion is an essential member of the patient care team. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, they are responsible for the direct and indirect patient care of our residents, creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. The CNA/MT will administer medications via oral, topical vaginal, and rectal routes and by inhalation (i.e. puffs). They will be required to chart all medications given, omitted, or refused. The CNA/MT will assist with the activities of daily living, including but not limited to assisting with personal hygiene, aiding with mobility, and assisting with mealtimes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Graduate of a Maine State Board-approved CNA course
Active on Maine CNA registry
Graduate of Maine State-approved Certified Medication Administration program
EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year of previous CNA experience required
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent customer services skills
Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
Medical terminology is preferred, but not required
