Rosemont Market & Bakery is a mission driven community market focused on connecting products from local farmers, growers and producers to customers in the greater Portland area. We buy and source high quality, unique products from Maine and away and over 60% of the sales in our markets come from products that are grown or produced in Maine.
The Warehouse is an integral part of our supply chain and ensures that our markets have the product they need, when they need it. This role requires strong organization, accuracy and attention to detail, communication and people leadership skills. Responsibilities will include building and improving both business and people process.
In this position, you can expect to:
Support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations including team supervision and training, scheduling, workflow delegation, inventory maintenance and organization, and facility/vehicle upkeep.
Support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all product care, storage, rotation, quality control and food safety standards.
Support the Warehouse Manager in coordinating and managing all product receiving and delivery logistics.
Ensure quality of product and accuracy of orders.
Ensure warehouse operations meet the needs of each market.
Advance and enforce best practices for the department.
Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager, Director of Retail Operations, Director of Production Operations, Purchasing Department and Retail Managers to improve company-wide order communication and fulfillment.
Improve efficiency of business and people process.
