Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the local management team to maintain the properties; ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional service to our residents.
Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs - Responding to tenant work orders, completing unit turns, and preventative maintenance measures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
- Painting, trim repair/replacement, light carpentry
- Address minor repairs promptly and efficiently, escalating complex issues to the appropriate parties.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the management.
Groundskeeping
- Maintain the landscaping, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and watering and weeding garden beds, and enhancing the property's curb appeal.
- Clear walkways and parking areas during inclement weather to ensure the safety of residents.
- Oversee the proper disposal of trash and recycling materials.
Other:
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and property supply stock
- Use Facilities app to record work performed and materials used.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property maintenance, caretaking, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, residents, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor tasks.
