Job Description

With your expertise in employee relations and passion for creating a positive workplace culture, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting all team members in providing exceptional employee experiences along their Auberge employment journey.
- Create new team member recognition programs, ensuring team member engagement and satisfaction.
- Create and implement hotel policies that ensure compliance, fairness and consistency.
- Be the champion of all things culture, including team member events, team member reward programs, etc.
- Create, maintain, and update HR processes and procedures, including on-boarding, off-boarding, compliance, recruiting, team communications, and recognition.
- Advise leaders and be involved in;
- Counselling, investigation and disciplinary process; produces and approves documentation.
- Administer response to lawsuits/complaints/charges from agencies such as EEOC, NLRB, Wage and Hour, etc.
- Advise hotel leadership on the interpretation and implementation of hotel policies and applicable state and federal laws as it relates to potential litigation and human resources management.
- Support all department leaders in procedures, payroll, staffing, communications, team concerns, and questions.
- Engagement surveys;
- Administer annual and on-going pulse surveys,
- Facilitate action plan development and follow-up for on-going improvement of the overall employee experience.
- Administer, monitor, and base changes to protocols based on annual team member survey
- Ensure all safety plans, protocols, and trainings are current and correct.
- Deploy Auberge-wide Talent & Culture and Learning & Development initiatives.
- Coordinate special projects throughout the year, i.e, wage increases, performance reviews, DOL reports, revision of handbook, update job descriptions, revision of administration manual, etc.
- Participate in coordination of benefits programs, as applicable, including.
- Benefits (local annual enrollment, benefits fairs, billing/reconciliations, on-going Q&A, FMLA/LOA processing and compliance).
- Liaise between all benefit vendors and staff, including Health and dental, and act as a point person for employees to contact with concerns and questions.
- Foster open door policy for all staff levels.
- Respond to and address all staff complaints, concerns, and issues that escalate to human resources, instituting new policies as needed to address issues and ensure policy enforcement.
- Oversee all recruitment including placing ads on internal/external job boards, arranging interviews for all candidates, making job offers, organizing start dates, and negotiating salaries.
- Monitor federal labor laws to ensure compliance.
- Participate in all decision-making processes for the property as a member of the executive leadership team.
- Manage all unemployment hearings, providing all necessary documentation and making court appearances as needed.
- Collaborate with outside counsel when and if necessary.
Qualifications
- 3+ years HR Manager experience
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and busy environment.
- Hotel or Resort experience preferred.
