JOB SUMMARY
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at St. Mary's D'Youville Pavilion is an essential member of the patient care team. He/She will partner with residents/patients and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care activities and assisting in formulating and implementing a continuous plan of care for patients. They will assist with personal hygiene, ambulation, mobility, and positioning, and assist at mealtimes. He/She will perform patient procedures, tests, and treatments according to policies and procedures within the scope of their practice. They will be required to precisely document the patient record, give concise, pertinent information to other healthcare team members and report changes in patient status in a timely and appropriate manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Graduate of a board-approved Licensed Practical Nurse program
Valid State of Maine LPN license required
BLS certification required
EXPERIENCE
No Previous experience is required
Medical Terminology preferred
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
