Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Experience in retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service roles required
- Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods helpful but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Able to successfully pass an extensive background check
- Have or obtain an IIC from Maine office of Cannabis Policy
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products, provide information on strains, consumption methods, and dosage
- Partner with management to ensure operational integrity and support store success
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner
- Generate sales through exceptional customer service and product knowledge
- Use point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately handle cash transactions
- Properly follow cash handling procedures, prepare daily cash deposits, and balance cash drawers
- Fulfill online orders for with accuracy while following all state, METRC, and OCP guidelines
- Assist with inventory functions and preparing products for sale (barcoding, labeling, METRC compliance)
- Willingness to stay up-to-date on state regulations, METRC, and POS system
- Ensure adherence to state and local laws, company policies, and procedures
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the store including managing products and inventory, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays with availability for shifts that include opening and closing the store
