Evening Custodian, – Fairmount School
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Basic building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, ground maintenance and painting
- Work with effectively and harmoniously with other staff and students
- Physical ability to lift independently heavy objects weighing up to 70 pounds, able to climb to the height of any Bangor School building
- Ability to handle hazardous materials in a safe manor
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable
- Preferred:
- Experience as a school custodian, or the equivalent in custodial service in other institutions and firms is desirable
- Physical Qualifications:
- Visual acuity to include color, depth perception & field of vision with/without correction
- Sufficient auditory function to hear phones, pager, instrument and/or system alarms
- Ability to communicate verbally with others - including phone equipment
- Manual dexterity in the operation of a computer
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to complete repetitive motions - including bending, stooping, reaching, and walking
- Moderate lifting - up to 50 pounds occasionally, with regular lifting of 10-20 pounds
