Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Long-Term Substitute Teacher to lead a 2nd-grade classroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction, managing classroom activities, and ensuring the continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position requires collaboration with other staff members to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver daily lessons following the existing curriculum and instructional plans.
* Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure student success.
* Manage classroom behavior and address student needs with patience and care.
* Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
Maine General Elementary 020 (K-8) OR Early Elementary 029 (K-3) certification required. Preference will be given to those who current hold certification.
