As a Unit Manager, you will plan, coordinate, direct, oversee, and evaluate security and treatment plans, adjusting them as needed based on identified needs, goals attained, and planned paths to move forward. RESPONSIBILTIES:
Responsibilities include interpreting, applying, and administering institutional policies and procedures, performing quality assurance audits, conducting internal affairs investigations, and serving as a subject matter expert to senior managers involved in facility wide decisions. Work includes performing investigations which may involve properly searching and seizing evidence. Supervision is exercised over professional, technical, and clerical employees. Work is performed under limited supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Entry level knowledge, skills, and/or abilities may be acquired through, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO the following coursework/training and/or experience).
A six (6) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in Criminal Justice, Corrections, Social Sciences, Psychology or a related field with specific knowledge of 21st century corrections best practices and/or risk reduction interventions, including two (2) years of experience leading corrections-related (or similarly-related) projects and theimplementation of newpolicies/practices in a correctional (or comparable) environment (institutions or community corrections).
