Remote Work Flexibility
This position offers remote work flexibility, allowing for both time in the office and the ability to work from home.
The Position
As a member of the Fund Accounting team, you will be responsible for recording and reconciling all portfolio and fund activity for assigned clients, calculating the fund's net asset value (NAV), allocating profit and loss to investors, processing fund expense payments, generating and delivering fund and investor reports, preparing supporting materials, communicating with internal and external entities, and resolving issues related to fund accounting matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, and filtering)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong team player
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Familiarity with and interest in learning accounting and finance applications and tools
- Ability to learn complicated concepts quickly
- Not required, but nice to have: Familiarity with investments and strategies held by hedge funds
- Experience working with portfolio and investor accounting systems, in particular Advent Geneva World Investor
- Experience working in an environment with internal control procedures, operating procedures, workflows, control checklists, and other elements of an internal control system
- Experience with financial reporting, information security and client, vendor, and risk management
Education Requirements
- Four-year college degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or Economics.
