Overview
We are looking for a candidate to work in our small, family run residential homes to play a crucial role in managing and optimizing both staff and resident schedules. This individual will ensure that all staff shifts are effectively covered and will assist residents in creating personalized schedules that meet their needs, preferences and goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and have experience in relationship management, particularly within the context of supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Works in tandem with the Residential Director and is a cooperative member of the supervisory team.
Responsibilities
- Staff Scheduling: Will develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Track staff availability, time-off requests, and changes in availability to adjust schedules accordingly.
- Prepare and distribute staff schedules on a timely basis.
- Resident Scheduling: Will assist our 4 residents in developing personalized daily and weekly schedules based on their needs, preferences and health requirements.
- Collaborate with residents to incorporate their desired activities and appointments into their schedules.
- Ensure that resident schedules align with the facility's activity calendar and available resources.
- Activity Calendar Management: Maintain and update the facility's activity calendar, ensuring that all events and programs are actively reflected.
- Actively seek out community activities and events that may be of interest to residents.
- Communicate upcoming activities and changes to both residents and staff.
- On-Call Designee: Acts as our on-call designee every third weekend.
- Communication and Coordination: Foster positive relationships with clients, staff, and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
- Track residents' activities to ensure activities meet with individualized, personal goals as described in their care plan.
- Monitor and evaluate scheduling processes, making adjustments as necessary to improve service delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in administrative roles with a focus on program development and management preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Experience in behavioral health, assistive living or a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals who have intellectual disabilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Per State requirements: must have Direct Support Professional certification or be willing to obtain certification as well as have Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) certification or be willing to obtain certification.
- Per State requirements: Must be atleast 18 years of age, hold a valid driver's license and have Covid-19 vaccination.
- Must pass all State of Maine required background checks.
- Work Environment: This role involves working on the floor with residents and staff as well as utilizing office hours. This is a 40 hour per week position.
