Job Summary/Objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support our company’s data management and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, be proficient in data entry, and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of our records. This role is critical in maintaining organized files, updating databases, and ensuring that information is accessible and up to date.
Essential Functions
- Data Entry: Accurately enter and update data in company databases, spreadsheets, and warehouse management software, ensuring data integrity.
- File Organization: Organize and maintain both paper and electronic files, ensuring that records are orderly and accessible.
- Data Verification: Review and verify data to ensure accuracy, comparing entries with source documents and correcting errors as needed.
- Invoicing Support: Assist with monthly invoicing processes by gathering and validating necessary data.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company and safety guidelines and regulations.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required by the department.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Data Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and comfortable learning new software, including warehouse management systems.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organization, able to maintain both physical and digital records efficiently.
- Time Management: Effective in prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
- Communication: Clear and concise communicator, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle a dynamic workload and adapt to changes in processes or systems.
- Experience: Prior experience in data entry or related administrative roles is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with shipping, receiving, or the trucking industry is desirable but not required.
- Language: Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but is not required.
