The Demolition role involves the safe and efficient dismantling of structures and the removal of debris in various construction environments. Duties
- Execute demolition tasks according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and jackhammers to facilitate demolition processes.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand structural layouts and identify areas for demolition.
- Safely remove materials including drywall, masonry, concrete, and tile while minimizing damage to surrounding structures.
- Fabricate necessary supports or barriers during the demolition process to ensure site safety.
- Conduct thorough site clean-up post-demolition, ensuring all debris is properly disposed of or recycled.
- Collaborate with team members to assess project needs and adjust plans as necessary for efficiency and safety.
Skills
- Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation is essential for this role.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
- Knowledge of construction site protocols and safety regulations.
- Skills in drywall installation and removal are beneficial.
- Welding skills are a plus for structural modifications during demolition tasks.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices can enhance project planning efforts.
