Misty Brook Farm Delivery Driver

OVERVIEW
Delivering dairy, eggs, meats, and vegetables to grocery stores and health food stores in Maine. Currently two deliver days per week with routes varying from eight to eleven hours. Wednesday is a work at the farm day and participate in farm lunch and staff meeting.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must:
• Enjoy Driving.
• Be able to lift 50+lb.
• Be able to start the day early (5am).
• Possess high levels of energy & self-motivation.
• Be able to work well independently.
• Be observant and able to see both the details and the whole.
• Be good at navigating and finding new places.
• Live nearby and hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dress appropriately with clean clothes and give professional service to customers. Efficient timely deliveries. Delivering the right amount of each product to each location. Good communication with customers and farmers.
Must be able to:
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Follow multiple detailed instructions.
• Be observant and have attention to detail.
• Be able to drive in all weather conditions.
• Be self-motivated.
• Complete deliveries efficiently.
• Count and follow a spreadsheet.
• Be polite and professional to receivers and buyers.
Communication:
• Effectively communicate observations and needs.
• Communication of route efficiencies or lack of efficiency.
• Communication with receivers about their needs.
• Record any invoice changes and bottle returns on spreadsheets.
• Report any delivery issues to our Distribution Manager.
• Report any vehicle concerns to Brendan Holmes.

COMPENSATION
Hourly position starting at training at $18/hr. $19-23/hr based on ability and accuracy of product delivery. Pay increase based on job performance and attitude. Additional bonus paid for accurately delivering all orders. This position is year-round.
