BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This is supervisory investigative and protective services work involving enforcement of Maine State laws, fish and wildlife conservation laws and rules, regulations, and other laws within the jurisdiction of the Maine Warden Service. Responsibilities include planning, directing, overseeing, and evaluating all Warden Service activities, supervising subordinate personnel, and promoting Department goals and objectives. Work is performed under limited supervision.
Special Requirement: Successful applicant must reside within 50 air miles of Bangor HQ.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six (6) years of experience in the Maine Warden Service which includes at least one year in the position of Game Warden Pilot Supervisor, Game Warden Sergeant, Game Warden Specialist, or Game Warden Investigator. Applicants must have one year of supervisory or management experience. Supervisory experience is not limited to employment in Maine Warden Service.
