Job Summary
The RN is an essential member of the Patient Care Team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. The RN delegates those interventions that can be performed by others, supervises as appropriate, assists in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care, provides education to patients, and families, and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care.
Job Requirements
Basic Dysrhythmia, IV insertion/ care, wound care, PICC lines, and foley care may be some of the skills required in an inpatient behavioral unit.
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation
Current Maine RN license required.
Basic Life Support certification required.
Graduate of an approved Nursing program required.
