Maintenance Technician

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment at our lobster processing plant to ensure day-to-day operations, while upholding all food and safety standards. A Maintenance Technician has the following primary responsibilities:

Maintain production equipment to ensure efficiency at all times
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop
Perform routine maintenance to reduce/ eliminate delays in production
Repair equipment as needed
Perform preventative maintenance as directed by Head of Equipment and Engineering
Responsible for communicating any machine issues to Head of Equipment and Engineering
Inspect equipment for maintenance needs
Identify and address key maintenance issues that could disrupt day-to-day operations
Take inventory and organize maintenance tools
Any additional duties to achieve the mission

The ideal candidate:

Will bring a positive attitude to work every day
Has basic experience in most fields related to maintenance work, including mechanics, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills
Strong electrical background- able to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment in a food manufacturing environment
Has manual dexterity to operate a variety of machinery and equipment
Able to work a flexible schedule
Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced, rapidly growing start up company
Works well with minimal direction and supervision
Works well with prolonged periods of standing and walking
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Is dependable and has reliable transportation

Schedule:

Day shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
