Maintenance Technician

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment at our lobster processing plant to ensure day-to-day operations, while upholding all food and safety standards. A Maintenance Technician has the following primary responsibilities:
- Maintain production equipment to ensure efficiency at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop
- Perform routine maintenance to reduce/ eliminate delays in production
- Repair equipment as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance as directed by Head of Equipment and Engineering
- Responsible for communicating any machine issues to Head of Equipment and Engineering
- Inspect equipment for maintenance needs
- Identify and address key maintenance issues that could disrupt day-to-day operations
- Take inventory and organize maintenance tools
- Any additional duties to achieve the mission
The ideal candidate:
- Will bring a positive attitude to work every day
- Has basic experience in most fields related to maintenance work, including mechanics, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills
- Strong electrical background- able to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment in a food manufacturing environment
- Has manual dexterity to operate a variety of machinery and equipment
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced, rapidly growing start up company
- Works well with minimal direction and supervision
- Works well with prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Is dependable and has reliable transportation

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
