Timberwoods Farm is a mushroom farm in South Paris, M.E. We grow a variety of gourmet cooking mushrooms of the highest quality to sale to local restaurants, grocery stores, and food co-ops.
We offer on-the-job training from our mushrooms pros. As well as, a casual and team-oriented work environment.
We are currently growing around 300-400 pounds of mushrooms a week and aim to reach 1,000 pounds a week. To do this, we are in need of employees to harvest this surplus of produce. If you are interested in mushrooms, a friendly work environment, or simply an easy, managable part-time job, this would be a great position for you.
```Overview```
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Harvester. As a harvester, you will work closely with the Mushroom Operation Manager and Operations Manager on daily tasks in the mushroom growing facility, kitchen and harvesting room.
Responsible for harvesting of mushrooms as per customer product requirements, while applying policies and procedures aimed to maximize the yield and optimize mushroom quality and achieve the performance targets as set by the company.
```Responsibilities```
- Harvest mushrooms as per customer specification and product quality requirements
- Ensure that the products presented are of the highest possible standard; with particular focus given to weights, sizing, and presentation
- Harvest mushrooms in line with Harvesting Standard Operational Procedures aimed to maximize the yield and preserve mushroom quality
- Participate in continuous training and assessment
- Adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with Timberwoods Farm and State rules and regulations
- Assist with packing and delivery to customers

```Qualifications```
- Previous harvesting experience is an advantage but not a requirement
- Clean driving record and background check
- Basic math skills to accurately measure and calculate quantities
- Good dexerity skills
