Marketing Specialist I

Midcoast Federal Credit Union is seeking a creative Marketing Specialist I to join our growing Marketing Department! This individual will assist with the coordination and implementation of marketing activities, strategies, and communications utilizing innovative approaches while assisting the Marketing Manager with oversight of third-party vendors and applications. This is a hybrid position with some in office work required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist with creative, compliance, and deployment of designated internal and external marketing materials and communications ensuring consistent brand standards and alignment with the Credit Union's core values and mission statement. Assist with campaign development, tracking, monitoring, and analyzing the effectiveness of each campaign along with the selected delivery channels. Writing and distributing content on approved digital platforms and marketing channels, including social media and Credit Union owned websites, as directed by the Marketing Manager. Work with third party vendors to complete marketing/campaign objectives and goals.
- Maintain and manage promotional item inventory. Work with internal departments to assist with marketing items for employee and community facing events.
Experience
- Two to five years of relevant experience in marketing or related field. Credit union or financial services experience is a plus.
- Must be skilled in social media content creation and platform management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X).
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite applications, Google SEO, and website content management skills are desired. A digital portfolio or clear demonstration of ability to generate creative, engaging, professional content and video editing skills is requested.
Education
A high school education or GED is required. Some type of formal Marketing education is preferred but not required.
