Hunting, Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Tool Room Machinist to join our Tooling Department in Fryeburg, ME. The successful candidate will be a competent, innovative problem solver who can think critically and work effectively with others to complete jobs in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities
- Setup machine equipment and cutting tools according to prints.
- Setup operation without process documents.
- Develop setups and fixtures as needed.
- Define Manufacturing process as needed.
- Operate mills, lathes, OD grinders, and surface grinders.
- Produce parts with a high degree of precision & efficiency.
- Perform cutting speed & feed calculations.
- Strive to reduce cycle times without compromising our safety and quality goals.
- Thoroughly review details before starting a job, review deviation reports, and apply quality standards to make any required changes.
- Understand & adhere to top quality systems.
- Maintain traceability regarding products, materials, and calibration.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of machining experience, including CNC machining experience.
- Respect coworkers and work collaboratively.
- Meet business objectives & goals through effective communication and problem-solving strategies.
- A positive attitude towards coworkers and job demands is essential.
- Ability to read, interpret, and verify work to be completed meets blueprints.
- Understand & utilize machine function and fundamentals.
- Interpret & apply manufacturing mathematics & calculations.
- Solid grasp of geometric dimension tolerance and the Cartesian coordinate system.
- Experience using complex inspection tools.
- Experience using cutting tools along with the ability to troubleshoot.

Work Environment/Conditions
- Monday to Friday, day schedule, 8 or more hours per day.

Education Preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 2 years trade school or apprenticeship program.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
