Job Overview
As a Host/Server, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all aspects of their visit are enjoyable. This position requires a blend of customer service skills and knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets fine dining standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods to provide recommendations to guests.
- Process payments accurately through cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Assist with banquet service and catering events as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables while providing excellent customer service.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during their visit.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests positively.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for order entry and payment processing.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- Previous experience in serving, catering, or banquet settings is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
