Portland House of Pizza is looking for part time or full time drivers to deliver pizzas in North Portland and some of the surrounding areas. This position requires you to have a valid license and your own vehicle that is inspected, registered and insured.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering items in a timely and professional manner
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure on-time deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documentation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisors regarding any issues or delays during deliveries
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as load and unload cargo from the vehicle
- Knowledge of local roads and routes for efficient navigation
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays if required
