We are seeking a highly skilled, licensed denturist whose craftmanship and expertise can greatly contribute to enhancing the oral health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Patient consultation: Conduct thorough consultations to understand patients' dental history, needs and expectations. Assess oral health conditions and take necessary impressions, measurements and photographs.
- Treatment planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient's oral health status, aesthetic preferences and budgetary considerations. Collaborate with other dental professionals, like prosthodontists and oral surgeons, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Denture design and fabrication: Utilize technical skills to design dentures that are aesthetically pleasing, functional and comfortable. Select appropriate materials and components to construct dentures with patient's personalized needs and comfort in mind.
- Denture fitting and adjustment: Ensure accurate fittings with necessary adjustments throughout multiple appointments. Educate patients on proper denture care and maintenance to maximize longevity and oral health.
- Documentation and record keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient consultations, treatment plans and procedures. Document any changes in patients' oral health, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Regulatory compliance: Stay current with industry regulations, licensing requirements, and best practices in denture fabrication. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and record-keeping.
- Patient communication: Communicate effectively with patients to address questions, concerns and expectations. Provide clear instructions on post-treatment care and follow-up appointments.
- Continuing education: Stay current with advancements in denture technology, materials and techniques to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Licensed denturist with Maine state accreditation
- Proven experience in designing and fabricating dentures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with attention to precision and patient satisfaction
- Ability to work collaboratively with other dental professionals
