Pilgrim’s Inn is an independently owned historic inn on Deer Isle, Maine. Built in 1793, the property includes guest rooms in the main house, three cottages, and an on-site dining room and tavern. In 2025, our restaurant was named one of The New York Times’ 50 Best Restaurants in the United States.
We’re seeking an experienced Inn Manager / Innkeeper to lead day-to-day operations during the season. This is a senior, hands-on role with real responsibility across lodging, housekeeping, guest experience, events, and facilities. It’s well suited to someone who has run—or helped run—an independent inn, boutique hotel, lodge, or similar property and enjoys being close to the work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
– Oversee reservations, front desk operations, and guest communications
– Maintain high housekeeping and property standards through daily inspections
– Coordinate maintenance, vendors, and seasonal opening/closing tasks
– Lead and schedule a small seasonal team with clarity and calm
– Support group bookings and on-site events (weddings, retreats, private gatherings)
– Track occupancy, rates, and operational goals in partnership with ownership
– Build relationships with local partners and reflect the character of Deer Isle in the guest experience
DETAILS:
Season: approximately May–October (full-time, seasonal)
Compensation: $40,000–$50,000 for the season, plus commission

WHO IS THIS FOR:
