Bob’s Cash Fuel is seeking a strong, field-driven Service Leader to oversee and grow our residential HVAC service department in Madison, ME.
Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus opportunities
Target Earnings Range: $85,000 – $140,000 per year (based on experience & Potential Bonus Earned)
We are looking for a ME-licensed HVAC professional who combines technical expertise with leadership ability. This is an opportunity for a proven Service Manager, Service Lead, Technical Field Representative, or Senior Service Technician with reporting and team oversight experience who is ready to elevate performance, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

As our Service Manager, you will serve as a leader, coach, technical authority, and revenue driver for the service department.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and hold accountable service technicians to achieve performance and customer satisfaction goals
- Conduct ride-alongs, field evaluations, and technical training
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new technicians
- Run daily and, weekly meetings, and annual performance reviews
- Provide hands-on field support during peak demand
- Ensure a culture focused on safety, professionalism, and accountability
Operational Oversight
- Oversee scheduling, dispatch coordination, and technician productivity
- Review invoices, job documentation, photos, and reports for accuracy and profitability
- Monitor Key Points including revenue, conversion rates, callbacks, and technician efficiency
- Prepare/review payroll, commissions, and performance incentives
- Assist in managing inventory and truck stock with warehouse coordination
- Collaborate with call center and dispatch to maximize opportunity flow
- Assist with price book updates and ensure profit margins are maintained
Financial & Performance Management
- Help develop annual budgets and manage departmental expenses
- Drive revenue growth through coaching and ethical upselling practices
- Track and report department performance metrics
- Ensure staffing levels align with seasonal demand
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Maine HVAC license
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Minimum 3–5 years in HVAC supervisory, lead technician, or management role
- 5–8+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, repairs, duct modifications, and system design
- Experience reviewing reports, job costing, and technician performance metrics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Ability to work weekends when business demands require to support team
- Willingness to perform local travel

Experience:
- HVAC Service: 5 years (Required)
- HVAC Service Management: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Master Journeyman license for the state of Maine (Required)
- Propane License for the state of Maine (Required)
- Tank Setter License for the state of Maine (preferred)
- Heat Pump and Geo Thermal experience is a plus
