Quack N’ Cruise is looking to fill captain positions for our Portland Maine Duck tours.. We operate six days a week. Each day will be roughly 10 hour days totaling 4-5 tours a day. Captains are expected to do a pre and post trip inspection. We operate from mid-May to mid-October.
Our “Duck boat” is an aluminum amphibious vehicle made in 2006 specifically for the tour industry. Our tour is 50 minutes long consisting of 25 minutes on land and 25 minutes in the water. As the captain you will launch and land the vessel. We launch from Bug light park and make our way to spring point light and turn around following the edge of the channel landing back at bug light. The CDL Driver and tour guide will act as your crew while on the water. You are welcome to add to the tour script, just check with your guide to find the best time to contribute.
Required:
-USCG 25 ton Master License
-additional licensing is welcome
-experience with limited maneuverability vessels Huge plus
-Ability to pass random drug-testing
-Safety oriented
-Experience with customer interaction
The pay starts at $34/hr plus crew shared tip pool
