As a cannabis sales associate, you'll provide outstanding customer service, drive sales, and promote a welcoming atmosphere in our retail store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on product features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring that products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a high level of service.
- Utilize basic math skills for handling cash, processing transactions, and managing inventory counts.
- Uphold company policies regarding customer service, safety, and store operations.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and accessories.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and promote team growth
Requirements
- 21+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state cannabis workers permit (or ability to obtain)
- Previous retail + sales experience
- Knowledge regarding cannabis products
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle wide demographic of customers and behavior
- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible scheduling
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Excellent cash handling skills with experience using POS systems.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash management and transaction processing.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
