Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting for our paint and varnish distribution business in Thomaston Maine. This role handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and periodic financial reporting across multiple related entities.

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and vendor payments (ACH, bill pay, checks)
- Record customer payments, prepare bank deposits, and reconcile accounts
- Maintain organized financial records and vendor documentation
- Prepare monthly sales reports and commission payments
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
- Assist with quarterly tax payments, sales tax filings, and inventory reconciliation
- Support annual tasks including 1099 preparation, tax reporting, and insurance renewals
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable using accounting software and online banking systems
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Contract Details
- 16 hours per week
- Combination of in-office and remote work
- Flexible weekday schedule with the ability to respond to occasional time-sensitive financial matters when needed
Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
