**Marine Biology Assistant / Personal Assistant (Pembroke, ME)**

**Pay:** $15–$25/hour (based on experience and initiative)
**Schedule:** Flexible (part-time or full-time options)
My name is Tim. I’m a marine biologist and entrepreneur running Gulf of Maine, Inc., a growing marine products company on Cobscook Bay. Business is expanding quickly, and I’m looking for a reliable, adaptable person to help keep things moving.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with a wide variety of tasks. No two days are the same.
**What you might do:**
* Pack bait worms and marine specimens
* Assist with shipping (UPS, packing, labeling)
* Answer phones and communicate with customers
* Handle basic errands (bank, supplies, pickups)
* Help manage social media and website updates
* Coordinate orders, invoices, and paperwork
* Work with seaweed (drying, harvesting, loading)
* Sort/count marine life (crabs, eels, starfish, etc.)
* Maintain a clean, organized workspace
* Assist with sourcing and purchasing from fishermen
**What I’m looking for:**
* Dependable and able to follow through
* Comfortable juggling different tasks
* Willing to learn (no marine background required)
* Positive attitude and good sense of humor
* Physically capable of some outdoor/manual work
Some tasks can be done remotely, but much of the work is on-site in Pembroke.
There are occasional cash bonuses when projects go well. Pay is negotiable depending on what you bring to the table.
