We are the New Gloucester Village Store, a 135-year old market/restaurant with a wood-fired brick oven serving 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. We make Ready-Made Meals, sides, salads, soups, and such to sell out of the cooler. We sell meats, cheeses, produce, beverages, gourmet groceries, as well as the basics. We have a menu of unique quality sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast, and more, as well as pizza; made-to-order, as slices, and pre-cooked out of the cooler.
We have been closed for a couple years and are reopening in May.
We are seeking:
Front End/Register People- This position will require prioritizing long lines at the register, taking phone orders, running food and maintaining the dining room, making coffee or serving wine and beer, and it’s not for the faint of heart. Former waitstaff are encouraged to apply.
Retail Manager- Most of your time and effort will be directed towards Front End/Register activities, but we are looking for someone with experience sourcing and displaying food; preferably with a familiarity of local vendors and purveyors.
